By Road
We are a comfortable 50 minute drive north of Auckland City.- At Warkworth turn right at the second set of lights;
- Follow the Matakana Road that leads to Leigh, Omaha;
- Approximately 9km to Matakana Village;
- At Matakana Village, at the round-about, continue straight ahead & over the bridge;
- Approximately 1km after take the first right to Omaha;
- At the T intersection roundabout you will see the Providence Vineyard ahead;
- Turn right towards Tawharanui Regional Park;
- Take the first road on your right - Whitmore Road;
- We are 1km on the left;
- When you arrive at Takatu you will find two entrances: the first entrance is to Takatu Vineyard while the second entrance will bring you to Takatu Lodge. Please use the second entrance.
Driving Tips for Overseas Visitors
- New Zealanders drive on the left-hand side of the road.
- Drivers give way (or yield) to all traffic crossing or approaching from the right.
- The speed limit is 100km/h on the open road and 50km/h in urban areas.
- Drivers and passengers must wear a safety belt in both the front and back seats.
